We run a welcoming casual dining spot with beautiful boutique accommodation close to Wells, the smallest city in England, the historic Roman city of Bath previously Aqua Sulis, and the beautiful Mendip Hills AONB. We are a traditional ‘public house/country inn’ and our quality fresh food philosophy and delightful service set us apart. Dine inside or, if the weather is good, enjoy one of several outside dining areas including a generous covered terrace. As an alternative you can grab a pizza from our al-fresco eatery ‘The Carriage @ The Redan’.

The bar is open seven days a week, during the winter we have a roaring wood-burner, comfy tables and benches, a selection of games to whittle time away, a fully stocked bar with local ales, international lagers and spirits to see you through.
During the summer months we have an amazing beer garden, beautifully landscaped and great for large gatherings, food, drink and social occasions.
The restaurant serves food all day. Sundays — proper roasts with all the trimmings available from 12pm‑8pm.
